Simon and Leanne asked me to join them on the Isle of Islay for their very special wedding day. I had to say yes.
After over a 500 mile trip and a night in my old stomping grounds of Edinburgh I arrived.
They got married on the beach, we picnicked as the sun set and I got to be a legal witness. It was one of the most moving and beautiful marriages I have ever seen, I’m not saying that I shed a tear but I shed a tear. Though that could have been the whiskey of course.
Many many thanks to them both for having me there, I will never forget it.

lovely set of photos! I was in Islay just a few months ago at a wedding and we went to Bruichladdich too. Islay is a gorgeous setting for a wedding – despite the weather!!
With Love, L x
Fab they look very in love.
This is pretty damn special. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll come away with a smell of bonfire and seaweed in your hair.
You’ll also have to wait. For now.

I’m not being rude with the title of this post, it’s one of the songs that Sarah sang at her wedding and backed by the Rockaoke boys she blew the roof off.
Sarah and Twig (Adrian) met me a while back, so far back in fact that between our initial meeting and the wedding they had gotten pregnant and had a Travis. I knew their wedding was going to be ace from the moment of that first meeting. They are really good fun, kind and generous.
They made sure the day was a great big party involving all of their friends and family, most of Yeovil seemed to be there. Their friends were an especially big part of the day. Twig and the boys went for some golf in the morning whilst Sarah got ready surrounded by her bridesmaids at Brympton House.
The groomsmen acted as drinks couriers throughout the night with many of them couriering drinks to themselves it seemed. As the night fell in to a messy heap, everyone bellowed their lungs out, howled with laughter and indulged on fine Somerset ice-cream. I heard possibly the strangest and most brilliant version of Pokerface ever, somewhere between death metal and a nightmare.
A truly amazing night was had and I had to drag myself away. Many many thanks to Sarah, Twig and Travis for having me there and for making my job so easy.

Sarah and Twig (Adrian) got married last week, I got to be there and boy did it go off with a bang.
Here’s a shot from it.
More will follow.
